Where Will I Be Working?? Location Reveal!

Welcome back to my blog! It's hard to believe, but I am less than a week away from my check-in day. With that being said, I received my itinerary yesterday and found out some exciting info! It seemed like such a long wait to find out my work location, but the wait paid off because I got an amazing placement. What is it, you may wonder??

DRUMROLL PLEASE.....

I will be working at Animal Kingdom in the Africa section of the park as a merchandise cast member! I'm super thrilled about this placement, because it will allow for so much variety. There are 3 different shops and 3 outdoor carts that I can work at, so I won't be stationed in just one store the whole time. I will be selling a variety of items, from pins, to stuffed animals, to apparel, and even desserts and drinks. Something else that's pretty cool is I can pin trade with guests since I get to wear a pin lanyard while at work. Oh, and did I mention the costume for Africa is known to be super comfy and cute? Definitely can't beat that!

In addition, merchandise is such an amazing role because it allows the ability to pick up shifts in any of the parks, resorts, or Disney Springs area. My goal is to pick up as many shifts in other locations as possible to experience what it's like in other locations and to see the different fun costumes I get to wear! In Africa, I will have some specialty trainings that will allow me to work with food and alcohol, so that will help with picking up shifts at places like the Main Street Confectionary in Magic Kingdom and the resort gift shops.


It's crazy to think that I will be leaving in just 3 days to start my 14 hour road trip to Florida. I just need to finish up some of my packing, but other than that, I am so ready and excited to move to Disney World!
